Named after its designer, the Uhlenhaut Coupé is reminiscent of a production 300 SL Gullwing. But hidden underneath the bodywork is the thoroughbred racing technology of the open-top 300 SLR versions, which notched a victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia and clinched the manufacturers' world championship title for Mercedes. SLR stands for Super – Light – Racing.
