Collect, preserve and evaluate … these are the tasks of the Corporate Archives at the DaimlerChrysler plant in Stuttgart-Untertürkheim. This is where artefacts and archive material from the more than 100-year-old history of the company is stored and made available for historical evaluation on both an internal and external basis.
In addition to product-related information on vehicles and engines, the inventory contains numerous documents based on the company's history. The collection also includes a unique racing archive, an art portfolio with rare posters, designs and coins as well as the order books and vehicle records for virtually all vehicles built in the Untertürkheim and Sindelfingen plants.
The collection is supplemented by a media archive containing more than two million photographs, film and sound recordings.
The Archive offers a special service for owners of vehicles manufactured by Mercedes-Benz and predecessor companies. They have the opportunity to gain certification for their vehicle at the charge of EUR 100.00.
